The short version: you can cancel any project by email. You pay for the work completed up to that point and nothing more; the rest of any advance comes back to you.
1. Cancelling before work starts
If you cancel after approving a quote but before we have started, there is nothing to pay. Any advance is refunded in full.
2. Cancelling during a project
Email contact@grandfieldmedia.com with the project name. We stop work on receipt, tell you within one business day how much has been completed, and deliver the completed portion to you. You are invoiced for that portion at the quoted rate; if you paid in advance, the difference is refunded under our refund policy.
3. Third-party costs
Costs we paid to third parties on your behalf with your approval (domain registration, hosting, themes, plugins, stock assets) are not refundable by us; they are governed by the third party's own terms. Where possible we transfer the asset to you.
4. Ongoing arrangements
Recurring work, such as monthly website maintenance or standing data batches, can be stopped at any time by email. Work already done in the current period is charged; nothing is charged after that.
5. Cancellation by us
We may cancel a project if payment is overdue, if you breach our terms or acceptable use policy, or if continuing would be unlawful. We deliver and invoice the work completed to that point.
