To delete your data: email contact@grandfieldmedia.com from the address on your account, with the subject line "Delete my data". We confirm within one business day and complete the deletion within 30 days.
1. Who can request deletion
Anyone whose personal data we hold can ask us to delete it, whether or not you are a paying customer, and wherever you live. You do not have to give a reason.
2. How to make the request
- Send an email to contact@grandfieldmedia.com from the email address associated with your account or purchase.
- Use the subject line Delete my data.
- Tell us which product or account it concerns, if you know. If you are not sure, we will find it from your email address.
- If you signed in using a third-party login, tell us which one so we can match the account.
If you have access to a product dashboard that offers a delete-account option, using it has exactly the same effect.
3. How we verify it is you
We accept a request sent from the email address on the account. If it comes from a different address, we will ask you to confirm from the registered address or to answer a question only the account holder could answer. This protects you from someone else deleting your data.
4. What happens, and when
| Step | Timing |
|---|---|
| We acknowledge your request | Within one business day |
| We verify your identity | Usually the same day you reply |
| Account closed and access removed | Within 7 days of verification |
| Personal data erased from live systems | Within 30 days of verification |
| Data removed from encrypted backups as they expire | Within 90 days |
| Written confirmation to you | When the erasure is complete |
5. What gets deleted
- Your account and profile, including your name and email address.
- Content you created or uploaded in our services.
- Support correspondence associated with your account.
- Technical logs linked to your account, or the identifiers in them that point to you.
6. What we have to keep, and why
- Transaction and invoice records — tax and accounting law requires us to retain proof of sales for a set period. These are kept in a restricted finance record and are not used for anything else.
- Records needed for a legal claim or an ongoing dispute — kept only for as long as that requires.
- Anonymised and aggregate statistics — these no longer identify you and are not personal data.
- A minimal suppression record — where you have asked not to be contacted, we keep just enough to honour that.
7. Things registered in your name
If a product registered something in your name, such as a domain, deleting your data with us does not cancel or transfer that registration. The registrar holds it under its own contract with you. Tell us if you want help identifying who to contact.
8. Deletion is permanent
Once erased, we cannot recover your account or your content. If you only want to stop using the service for now, ask us to close the account instead, and say so in your email.
9. Third-party logins and connected platforms
If you used a third-party account to sign in or connect to one of our services, deleting your data with us removes what we hold. You should also remove our application from your account settings on that platform to end the connection at their end.
10. If you are not satisfied
If we refuse a request, we tell you why and which exception applies. You have the right to complain to your data protection authority. More about your rights is in our Privacy Policy.
